The master plan for the Regional Talent Development System for Growth (Anchor) is guided by the vision of a 'New Wave of Innovation for a Global Hub City by 2030.' It comprises four key initiatives: Human Wave for securing future talent; Industrial Wave for advancing regional industries; Social Wave for expanding regional value; and University Wave for driving comprehensive transformation of higher education.
In particular, based on the Open UIC (University-Industry Collaboration) model — an integrated cooperative framework linking government, industry, academia, and research — we are breaking down barriers between universities and businesses, building a virtuous-cycle ecosystem that connects talent development to employment, entrepreneurship, and long-term regional settlement.
As the dedicated implementing institution for the Regional Talent Development System for Growth (Anchor), the Busan Anchor Center supports universities in serving as hubs of regional development.
