    Break down internal and external barriers of universities and make bold investments in innovative universities to create an ecosystem of innovation competition and promote dissemination of best models
  • Eligible Institutions
    General government-supported universities or national universities located outside the capital area
  • Designation
    30 innovation models
  • Support
    Approx. KRW 100 billion per university over five years; priority regulatory innovation; induce cross-ministerial and local government investment; administrative/financial benefits from designation as a specialized local university, etc.
  • Procedure
    Designation by the Ministry of Education (Glocal University Committee) after two-stage evaluation
